- Automated creative material processing to reduce manual processing 83%. Client documents were being prepared through a largely manual process. Developed a series of programmed processes to reduce time on each client portfolio from over 4 hours to less than 43 minutes, with increased standardization and reduced errors.

- Created framework for successful new business launch. Client wanted to establish new custom finishing business for office and residential interiors. Researched competition and developed pricing and forecasting model to insure profitability. Client business turned a profit in four months and generated $233K revenues in first year
- Spearheaded creation of comprehensive business solution for AHEC. Telecommunications department was using a patchwork of systems and rapidly losing control of physical inventory. Directed inventory counts and wrote specifications for system to create new system to combine all facilities, hardware and software attributes into single SQL database. New system allowed replacement of high-cost, obsolete units with state-of-the-art at lower cost.
- Found $120K in telecomm over-billings in less than one week. Contracted for 90-day project to review billings for large Colorado college campus. Within one week, reviewed three years of invoicing and found 15% of charges were for equipment removed from service. Negotiated credit from vendors and established controls to prevent recurrence.
- Transformed cost center into moneymaking profit center to save $1.4M in first two years. College campus was using outside contractors for adds, moves and changes of voice terminals. Determined which functions could be done internally. Established financial systems and controls. Within two years, successfully outbid major competitors on major new construction projects.
Manager of Financial Analysis, Sears Communications Network, Inc. 1984 to 1987. Initiated planning and analysis division for combined voice, data and video subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck & Co. Created automated systems to consolidate and report financial information. Developed systems for graphic representation of accounting and financial data for management and executive board.
Manager of Finance – Traffic & Distribution, Continental Group, 1982 to 1984. Supervised two controllers responsible for company-owned trucking operations and independent trucking and warehousing subsidiary. Worked with Monon Trailer Corp. to create new high-cube aluminum vans with 37% more usable interior space with no change in exterior dimensions (still sold by Wabash Trailers as Duraplate).
